解説（安達）
　日本からはシルチス(Syrtis major;290W,+10)が中心に来ている観測となっ
た。火星の東のリムが明るくなっている。日本からは目立った変化は認めら
れない。アザニア(Azania;185W,+35)付近に明るい朝霧が出ているのをクレイ
・シェロッド氏(P.Clay Sherrod)がとらえている。また、クレイ氏の青画像で
はタルシス３山とオリンピア山にかかる山岳雲も記録されている。この様子は
クリストフ・ペリエ氏(Christophe Pellier)の観測でもとらえられている。こ
れらの四つの山岳雲がそろってとらえられたのは、今シーズン最初だ。蔡元生
氏(Tsai Yuan Sheng)の画像では非常に小さくなったミッチェル山がとらえら
れた。

September 23, 2003.
　It became the observation which Syrtis　major (290W,-50) came to
the center for from Japan. Limb of the Mars is light.  A conspicuous
change wasn't seen by Japan.
P.Clay Sherrod observed the mist which was familiar with Azania (185W,
+35).  And, a cloud was observed in three mountains of Tharsis and
NixOlympica for the blue image.  It is gathered in four mountains, and
it is the season beginning now that a cloud was observed.
Tsai Yuan Sheng observed Nouvs Mons which became very small.

相変わらずシーイングが悪くジャスピンも判らない。
おまけに薄雲がかかって明るさが刻一刻変化する。
風が弱まったのだけが取り柄か。急速に視直径が小さくなったように思える。

今まで風邪でダウンしていました。最低気温が一桁になった旭川です。
ミッチェル山が確認できなくなりました。

Mars this morning under very unsteady skies with high haze moving in; there is a very bright blue brightening seen on the limb in both RGB and blue images.
The SPC in this longitude is very strong and uniform with little degradation.

Hi all, some Mars images taken under fair seeing but excellent transparency.
I have been amazed by how much the turbulence was reduced when using an IRcut with the RG610 red filter instead of using the IR part as usual.
I'm convinced that the use of somewhat narrow filters do have a positive influence on the seeing...

Seeing poor but variable (3-4 Pickering).  Transparency very poor (0-3 m0, constant cloud bands, haze.
Wind E 0-6 kts. Altitude = 47-48 degrees. No dew.

Seeing, Transparency very poor and variable. No Violet Clearing. Weak orographic cloud over Arsia Mons.
Delicate patchy clouds over Tharsis. Large, localized morning clouds over western Amazonis.
