解説（安達）
黄雲の位置は東西に拡大している。西に拡散した方の緯度は、南緯５５°付
近を中心に拡散しているようだ。位置はパリナリ(Palinuri;150W,-55)に拡大
している。この様子は柚木氏とベルデン氏（Erwin van der Velden)が良く記
録している。一方、東の方は、D.C.パ−カ−氏(D.C.Parker)がその様子を良く
とらえている。黄雲はアルギレ(Argyre;30W,-50)を東西に横切るように覆い、
東の先端はデューカリオン(Deucalion;350W,-15)の東にまで伸び、西の端から
東の端まで長さにして１８０°にもおよび、火星の南半球のおよそ半分近くに
達している。また、デューカリオンに侵入した黄雲は明るく発達した姿を見せ
ている。

December 16th, 2003.
The position of the dust cloud spread out in the east and west. The
top which went to the west progressed around the south latitude 55
degrees. A top proceeded to Palinuri(150W,-55). Obviously this
phenomenon was recorded by Yunoki and Erwin van der Velden. On the
other hand, D.C.Parker recorded that state in the east dust cloud
in detail. A dust cloud recorded the condition that it spread out
in the east and west to cross Argyre(30W,-50). The top of the east
grew to the east of Deucalion(350W,-15). A dust cloud shows the
extent of 180 degrees in the east and west after all. This is
equivalent to about the half of the Southern Hemisphere of the Mars.
And, the dust cloud which appeared in deucalion develops
cheerfully.

 　日中は鉛色の雲に覆われていましたが、夕方から晴れ間がやってきました。
しかし、雲が多く２分と続いて晴れませんでした。
写りは非常に悪いのですが、黄雲の活動は続いていることが分かります。
ベランダでの２０cmは、火星の赤緯が高くなって、上階に視界をけられて
しまうので、そろそろ難しくなり、まもなく撮影できなくなります。

白く明るい部分が、濃い部分と薄い部分があるように見える。
ダストの雲と白い雲が混じっているようにも見える。

ダストストームをとらえたく待機していたが、
なかなか雲がきれず雲の切れ目からの撮像となった。
一枚目終了後雲が広がり２枚目の撮像までの間があいてし
まった。

久しぶりに、かわべとしては比較的大気の安定した
夜に遭遇しました。シレーンや南極冠も眼視で確認。

シレーンの東側にある明るい部分が、ウワサの黄雲
なんでしょうか？  明るい原因は何なんでしょう？
砂嵐の影響で霧が出やすくなっているのか、はたま
た太陽光の反射率が高くなっているのか…。それと
も黄雲自体を見えているのか…。

フォボス、デイモスはもう写らないようです。眼視
でも確認できません。

I had my first opportunity to make an image of the dust storm and
it seems that it has reached Terra Sirenum. I had to wait for an hour until
the sky cleared a bit, but the seeing was reasonable (5/10). I might
consider dispersion correction next time, but then I have to align the
mount a bit better since I'm using off-axis projection.

Seeing  highly variable, frequent fast cumulus clouds  (4-8 Pickering) .
Transparency = 0-5m .  High Wind NE 7-21 kts. Altitude = 64-54 degrees. No dew.

Dust has extended eastward over Bosporos, Argyre and into Noachis and Deucalionis Regio.
Aram not bright until it neared the PM limb. Chryse now appears normal. Aurorae Sinus very dark.
North Polar Hood moderately bright, bluish.

Hi all
Here are my images from yesterday. A big yellow cloud is visible west of
Hellas above Mare Serpentis. Actually it was already visible on my images
from december 15th, but a bit further to the west.
Tonight hopefully I will observe again to see if something happens on or
near Hellas.
