ソリス(solis lacus;90W,-25)の南部から北西に向かって出ている明るい帯
は長さが減少し、衰退してきている。西向きにはあまり発達しないようだ。グ
ラフトン(Ed Grafton)氏は前日に、デューカリオン(Deucalion regio;350W,
-15)の東のはしに明るいダストストームの光斑を観測したが、その光斑は南東
方向に移動し、南北に細長い姿になるとともに、明るさは減少している。また、
ノアキス(Noachis;350W,-40)からヘラス(Hellas;290W,-50)にかけてでている
黄雲は淡くなり、明らかに衰退している。アマド−リ(Amadori-Soiano)氏はさ
らにその東側を観測しているが、それには黄雲は認められない。

December 20th, 2003.
Length decreased, and the cloud of the Solis lacus (90W-25) southern
part was declining. Progress west is hardly seen. The point of Ed
Grafton was moved in the southeastern direction. Then, it became a
slender figure in the north and south. Brightness decreased, too. Dust
storm which could be seen from Noachis (350W,-45) to Hellas (290W,-50)
became faint. Obviously this dust storm declines. Amadori-Soiano
observed that east. Dust storm wasn't seen there.

模様がでました。

天気予報では撮像は無理と思っていたが、夕方から準備していたところ晴れ間が出始めたので撮像する。
大変寒く、風も強い。
黄雲はソリスの西からダエダリアにナイフでえぐったようにシャープに伸びている。クリュセ辺りも明るい。

京都も雪が積もって、雪解け水がちょろちょろ流れてます。
夕方は天気も快晴状態ですが、シーングは最悪状態でした。
画像処理すると、なんとか黄雲が見れます。眼視でも黄色く
輝いてますが、場所の特定が難しいです。

The sky transparancy was very good 8/10, and the seeing was poor to fair 3/10.

200 mm f/6 Newtonian, 500x  seeing II (Antoniadi)
Visual observation from Verona, Italy, seeing good.
Albedo features observed in red light, bright areas in the lower part of the disk observed with light blue filter.
NO EVIDENCE of intense dust activity around these longitudes, at least for the resolving power and contrast of my telescope.
In red light the brighter part of the disk was still the SPC.
