I had another opportunity of imaging Mars after a week of clouds and Mars
has increased in size on my chip this time. not because I changed the
projection set, but because I had a C9.25 on trial. This scope has no
detectable astigmatism and therefore a better contrast, plus of course a
higher resolution. On top of that it has also a flatter field, giving much
better vieuws with my Pentax eyepieces.

Mars looks almost normal by now, Sinus Meridiani peeks around the corner
but Margaritifer Sinus looks very light, probably because of the still
airborne dust remnants. The SPC is still visible, although barely.
