Hi Jupiter Observers
Here is an observation from April 10th 2004 at 04:19 UT. The transparency
was good 8/10 and the seeing was good, 8/10, with light dew.

Dear Jupiter observers
Attached is the jupiter image from 10th April 2004.
Seeing was not as good as what I wanted it to be and transparency is bad as
usual for this time of the year here. We're in the dry season now so the air
is pollution is bad at times.
I am glad to be able to resume imaging after a break of more than 6 months.
Busy work schedule as well as renovation on the roof of my apartment block
as prevented imaging. In fact I just return from a week of stay in the
southern suburb of Paris.
This image is done with the Toucam in RAW color mode. The resulting image is
excellent with much lower noise compared to the normal mode. Special thanks
to Etienne Bonduelle his group who developed the RAW mode.
As usual please let me know if you have any concern or comments on the
images.
Best Regards
Wei Leong

Thanks Edward Tam for his kind efforts to modify my ToUcam as BW CCD.
Tonight we had a first trial and capture the test image at RAW mode.
I am totally stunned by the improvement!!! Tonight transparency and
seeing were so bad but the new setup provided excellent signal to noise
ratio and the raw mode gives almost noise free images!!!
This setup surely the powerful weapon to obtain pleasing result even under
bad transparency~ It would be good for us to explore LRGB later on!!!
As we could only took the image through the cloud gap, we did not have much
time to test the ToUcam at colour raw mode. We shall post the result as soon as we have.
Here is the image we took tonight
