12月の終わり頃に見られたソリス(Solis lacus;
(reported by 3 observers)

January 14th, 2004.
A change isn't presumed previous day compare. A dark area can be seen
faintly around Aethria (240W,+45). The north pole is white and light.
D.C.Parker has reported an excellent image.
A faint belt around Solis lacus (90W,-25) seen in about the end in
December can't be seen any more. Phrixi regio (75W-43) can be confirmed
when an image is seen carefully. It passed through this neighborhood
from Argyre (30w,-50), and it might seem to be a band-shaped.It seems
that a color is wrong though the south pole and the north pole are
light. The south pole may be covered with dust. A white cloud is
recorded in the Northern Hemisphere from the blue image. It seems to
be light with the time. This is probably a cloud by the geographical
features.

The North Pole is shining white.
How whose CIMMERIUM is visible is also good as this time.
Compared with yesterday, the situation of a Mars side is known well.

Also, here is the URL for a REALLY NEAT program for telling what time it
is on Mars for the various landing sites. Also has all kinds of map
projections, orbits and other good stuff. Will work with Macs or Pcs.
