解説(安達)
 DCパ−カー氏からの画像では、オーロラ(Aurorae sinus;50W,-10)の南方が
明るくなっている。本来はもう少しくらい部分であるところから、この部分に
ダストが覆っている可能性がある。この分解能なら南極冠が見えていてもおか
しくないのだが、全く判らない。極付近はダストに覆われているようだ。

January 16th, 2004.
The south of Aurorae sinus (50w,-10) is light with the image of D.C.
Parker. Originally, it is an a little more dark area. It has
possibility in this area dust. SPC can't be seen from this image,
and the extreme neighborhood seems to be covered with dust.

 GREEN (CFW8C, 531nm central; BWHM 86nm)   0.80s 3-5 images
 BLUE (CFW8C, 450nm central, BWHM 116nm)   3.10s 4-6 images
             Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

Seeing  fair,  (5 Pickering). Transparency = 3.5-4m, waves of strato-cirrus clouds.
Wind light NW 0-4 kts. Altitude = 67-56 degrees. No dew.

NP Hood very prominent. SPC not detected. Cloud present on SW limb. Localized cloud in Chryse.
Bright PM limb arc. Argyre remains light. Solis Lacus and the Tithonius complex appear normal.
