解説（安達）
　熊森氏の画像はサバエウス(Sinus Sabaeus;340W,-5)付近の様子を良く記録
している。セルペンティス(Serpentis;330W,-25)から南西方向(ノアキス方向）
に暗いバンドが感じられるが、注意深く見ると、そのバンドのすぐ北側に淡く
なった部分がバンド状にできているため、そのように見えている。たまたまそ
のようになったのか、ダストのバンドができているのかは判断できない。前日
にも同じところに見えることから、ダストではない可能性が高い。メリッロ
(Frank J Melillo)氏の観測はキンメリウム(Mare Cimmerium;220W,-20)付近の
観測だが大きな変化は見られない。(reported by 3 observers)

February 5, 2004.
A state around Sinus Sabaeus (340W,-5) is often recorded with the image
of Kumamori.There is a dark belt from Serpentis (330W,-25) to Noachis
(350W,-30). When it is made careful, a faint band is made on the north
side of that belt. Therefore, it may seem to be a dark belt. It seemed
that this belt was the same place on the previous day as well.
Therefore, the possibility of dust is poor. A change wasn't seen with
the image of Frank J Melillo.

コメント：強い風に悩まされた。南極付近は全体に白い。
　　　　　アキダリアから北極付近にかけて青白い。
         It was afflicted by the strong wind.
         Near the South Pole is white to the whole.
         It applies [ near the North Pole ] from MARE ACIDALIUM and is pale.

the seeing was pretty good for high resolution.

Not too many people are observing Mars now. But occasionally in good seeing like tonight still can allow major details to be seen. Well earlier tonight, Mars displayed a nice gibbous disk at 6.6" arc seconds with Mare Tyrrehum and Mare Cimmerium visible clearly across the disk.
I exposed 2 images together ( 0.7 second each ) and averaged them out. A Wr. #25 red filter was used at f/25.
