解説（安達）
　シルチス(Syrtis major;295W,+10)が正面に見えるようになった。
ヘラス(Hellas;290W,-50)は夕方は非常に明るくなるが、正面付近ではさほど
明るくない。永長氏の画像ではシルチスの東側に夕霧を捉えている。この姿も
ふだんの姿だが、北極の白雲よりも濃さが濃いことが目立っている。D.C.パー
カー(D.C.Parker)氏からはゼフィリア(Zephyria;１９０W,-１０)付近の観測が
送られてきた。トリビウムカロンティス(Triviumu Charontis;200W,+20)の暗
斑が良く記録されている。また、エリシウム(Erysium;215W,+25)が明るく記録
されている。

February 10th, 2004.
It learned to see Syrtis major (290W,+10) in the front. Though it is
light, it doesn't seem that Hellas (290W,-50) is light in the front
in the evening. A evening mist is recorded on the east side of Syrtis
major with the image of Einaga. Though this figure was as usual, it
was recorded more thickly than a white Arctic cloud. It could be
observed with the image of D.C.Paker around Zephyria (190W,-10). It
seems that dark spots of Trivium Charontis (200W,+20) are good. And,
Erysium (215W,+25) was recorded cheerfully.

永長さんの木星に刺激され、光軸を調整しました。
内外像は、それほど狂ってなかったのですが、従来の方でやってみると
ずいぶんずれていました。

なんとかシルチスが判る。
A picture is not clear. SEEING is also bad.
SYRTIS MAJOR is known somehow.

穏やかな日和で、仕事をしていても好シーイングの予感がして、ソワソワでした。
池村さんのシュミレート画像と比較では、南極冠が写っていそうにも思えるのですが・・・・。
池村さんのコメントでは、南極冠をとらえるチャンスもなくなってきました。
今回がラストチャンスだったでしょうか？

36分間に撮影した9個のａｖｉファイルを全てアラインからやり直し、
できるだけ少ないフレイム数でスタックしてみました。
果たして南極冠は写っているでしょうか？

(池村)１枚目　３枚目　８枚目で　永久南極冠の位置と思われる部分が
かすかに尖っているように見えます。
もしかしてこれが永久南極冠のように思われます。
横0.28" 幅0.07" 褐色がかって、まわりより少し明るい　という姿
のはずですが。
1枚目の右に大きさ、形状の見本を作ってみました。

Images bias,flat and dark corrected.

Seeing  good,  (7-8 Pickering). Transparency = 0-4m with frequent cloud bands.
Wind NE 2-8 kts.. Altitude = 59-57 degrees. No dew.

SP Hood well formed. NP Hood also present.
NOTE: Cerberus-Trivium now appears much darker than it has in several years.
Cerberus II or Cyclops detected. Streak along N. borders of Sirenum and Cimmerium visible.
