Dr. P. Clay Sherrod (410mm SC : ToUcam PRO)
Imaged under unsteady air, but with considerable detail demonstrated; notice the strong
shearing within the NEZ in two places, one preceding and the other following the CM; the
fol. area is particularly interesting with the two dark segments (spots?) associated with
a strong and open rift. Note the long series of very small spots making for a very
turbulent SEBs edge and within the STrZ. Note the very strong blue rendering of the SSTB
which is seemingly absent in RED and GR light; NOTE the very red cast to the STB beginning
just pr. the CM and following in increasing longitudes. South Equatorial Belt components
(N & S) are becoming highly differentiated and uniformly parallel.

I made an observation of Jupiter on January 21, 2005 at 06:40 U.T. under average seeing conditions (5/10). The Great Red Spot (GRS) was visible on the preceding limb. The South Equatorial Belt (SEB) was very active following the GRS. Prominent blue festoons were visible along the southern border of the North Equatorial Belt (NEB-S). Io, Europa, and Ganymede were visible following the planet, from preceding to following. I welcome any comments on my observation.

Here's my latest image of Jupiter. Seeing wasn't that great at around 6/10. There is a bright rift at the NEB.
