解説（安達）
　シルチス(Major Syrtis;290W+10)やヘラス(Hellas;290W,-45)がくっきりと
見えています。2003年７月に濃化したセルペンティス(Serpentis;330W,-25)付
近も見えているはずですが、あまり濃くみえていませんマーズ・グローバル・
サーベイヤー(MGS)の画像でも淡く写ったものがあります。果たして本当に淡
くなったのかは、まだ判断できませんが可能性は高そうです。模様がしっかり
写っているのに、南極冠ははっきりしていません。まだ完全には晴れ上がって
いないことが分かります。MGSの画像でも南極冠の周辺部だけが明るく目立って
いることが分かります。今回のこの画像では、南極冠の周辺部も明るくないこ
とからダストに覆われている可能性も考えられます。

 Syrtis major and Hellas is clearly seen. It is not thick though the
vicinity of Serpentis that changed darking it in July, 2003 is sure to
be seen. The image of MGS includes the image that is lightly reflected.
In this place, there is a possibility of becoming lighter than 2003.
The South Pole seems not to clear up still completely. The surrounding
understands SPC the image of MGS and the appearance that has lightened
is understood. This time, there is a possibility to be covered with
Dust because the vicinity of the South Pole crown. is not bright.
