解説（安達）
南極雲がすっかり晴れ、白く輝いた南極冠が画像に記録された。また、白が
強調されており、夕霧や北極地方にかかる霧も記録されている。アエテリ
ア(Aetheria;２４０W,+４０)付近の暗斑も２００３年の時と同じ暗いの濃さ
に見えている。
　Pujicさんの画像からは、エリシウム(Elysium;215W,+25)の北東地域に白雲
が記録されている。2枚目の画像ではヘラス(Hellas;290W-50)が西側に見えて
きたが、色や明るさから判断すると、霧などの雲は見られないようだ。

The South Pole cloud cleared up completely, and the South Pole cap
that　shone in white was recorded in the image. Moreover, white is
emphasized
and the fog that sets in to an evening mist and an Arctic area is
recorded, too. It is seen the density dark pattern in the vicinity
of Aetheria time of 2003 and the same and dark, too.
White clouds are recorded from the image of Mr. Pujic in the
northeast region of Elysium(215W,+25). Judging from the color and
brightness, the cloud such as the fogs seems not to be seen in the
image of the second piece though Hellas (290W,-50)  came into view
to the west side.

The South Pole crown shines in white.
The veil of the cloud in the South Pole
region seems to have cleared up.

コメント：今シーズン初めての撮影でしたが、シーイング
          は悪く、とても報告レベルでは無いのですが。
          モニター上の火星は大きく膨らんだり激しく
          移動している。
          南極冠はなんとか見えるような気がする。

Here are April 16 images of Mars. The high albedo feature in the north near 
the CM of the 18.18 UT image is most probably Elysium or cloud over Elysium. 
I tried observing with a Wratten 25A filter to determine if it was bright in 
red light but at 6.3 arcseconds, the image of Mars, visually, was difficult 
to observe.
