(Nix
Olympica;135W,+25)が黒い点として記録された。細部まで鮮明に記録されてい
て見事だ。朝霧も緯度によって濃さの違う様子がはっきりと分かる。
(reported by 6 observers)

It came to see white clouds in the North Pole compared with the day
before. When it becomes a dawn, the fog seems to extend internally in
the basin, and Hellas (290W,-50) is very brightly reflected in a blue
image. Nix Olympica (135W,+25) was recorded for the first time as a
black spot in the image of Damian Peach at this season. Even the detail
is clearly recorded and it is splendid. The appearance where the morning
mist is different the density depending on latitude is clearly
understood. (reported by 6 observers)

23日早朝まで起きていましたが、3時ころに1時間だけ晴れて観測しました。シーング・透明度とも最悪状態でゲインを明るく上げても難しい状態でした。

Lots of cirrus clouds and humidity this morning as I imaged through it all. Seeing a touch better than on the 20th, but not by much. I am only getting 60 - 70 good images in these. I wish I could get more, the resolution is there, but too much noise for my taste. At any rate I boosted my image output by adding a Luminance and an IR image to try to coax some dust to show up around Hellas. All I can say is there may be some minor activity in the area, but I see as much cloud activity as I do dust. Compared to my image on the 20th of July, I see little if any obscuration by dust. It looks like one might see some shadow on the preceding side of Hellas, but better images are needed to be sure. I must keep telling myself that a few years ago I would not even have been imaging Mars at this diameter! I should feel lucky.

Here are some images from this morning. Seeing was again poor. However, some interesting details are seen.
Olympus Mons is dark in both Red and Blue light. Also note the faint hazy mist patch in the B image near the pole.
A dusky patch is also seen in R corresponding to Arsia Mons.
Daedalia/Araxes/Phasis on is emerging from the dark limb, with Solis lacus itself just about visible.
Best Wishes
