解説（安達）
　ヘラス(Hellas;290W,-50)全体を白雲が覆っている。また、アキダリウム
(Mare Achidarium;30W,+50)付近には白雲が見られる。

 Hellas (290W,-50) was coverd by thin white cloud. And, Mare
Acidarium region looked white cloud.

I made a pair of observation of Mars on August 21, 2005 (06:00 (IL/W35) and 06:40 U.T. (W38)) 
which showed interesting detail over the martian surface and atmosphere. 
The South Polar Cap (SPC) was prominent. The region between Mare Cimmerium and Syrtis Major was 
complex (alternating light and dark patches). Hellas was extremely bright (9/10) and prominent. 
I welcome any comments on my observations.

Instrument: 9-inch (23-cm) F/13.5 Maksutov-Cassegrain
Magnification: 248x and 344x
Filters (Wratten): 35 (magenta) and 38 (blue)
Seeing (1-10): 6-7, Antoniadi (I-V): III-II
Transparency (1-6): 4

Notes:
Left Image (06:00 U.T., IL/W35): The South Polar Cap (SPC) appeared brilliant (10/10) and prominent. 
No detail was noted within the SPC. Mare Chronium (3-4/10) was visible north and surrounding the SPC.
 Simois (4-5/10) was visible extending between the southern border of Mare Cimmerium and Mare Chronium, 
bisecting Phaethontis (7/10) and Electris (7/10). Eridania (7/10) was visible as well. Mare Cimmerium 
(3-4/10) was visibly extending from the south-preceding limb and following the CM. A bright (7/10), 
circular albedo feature (Atalantes Depresio?) was noted over the southern border of Mare Cimmerium 
adjacent to Hesperia (7-8/10). The diffuse (5/10) albedo feature "Valhalla" was noted to be north and 
parallel to Mare Cimmerium.  Mare Tyrrhenum (3-4/10) and Syrtis Minor (3/10) were prominent following 
the CM. The region appeared "speckled" during brief moments of steady seeing. Mare Hadriacum (3/10) 
was noted along the preceding border of Hellas (9/10). 
Syrtis Major (3-4/10) was noted as a "wedge" along the following limb. Iapygia Viridis (3/10) was visible 
towards the following limb south of Syrtis Major. Aeolis, Aethiopis, and Aetheria were bright (7/10) 
with little detail visible. Cerberus (5/10) was visible as a thin wedge south of the extremely bright (9/10) 
North Polar Hood (NPH). Libya (7-8/10) appeared to be partially obscured by haze. 
The Hyblaeus Extension (?, 3-/4/10) was visibly partially obscured by the NPH. A thin, extremely bright 
(9/10) morning limb haze (MLH) was visible. 
A more prominent (9/10) evening limb haze (ELH) was visible as well.

Right Image (06:40 U.T., W38): The South Polar Cap (SPC) was brilliant (10/10). Hellas was extremely 
bright (9/10) and appeared to have a thin, bright to very bright (7-8/10) projection extending from 
it's preceding border then across Eridania and Electris and connecting to the extremely bright MLH 
(possible mixture of ground fog and water-ice clouds?). 
A very bright to extremely bright (8-9/10) cloud was visibly projecting over Elysium. 
The North Polar Hood (NPH) was extremely bright (9/10) as well. Mare Chronium, Mare Cimmerium, 
Mare Tyrrhenum, Syrtis Minor, and Syrtis Major were diffusely visible using the blue (W38) filter.

左の画像2005/08/21 06:00(UT) (IL/W35)に付いて: 南極冠は良く輝き際立っているように見えました。 
極冠内の詳細はわかりませんでした。雌馬のChronium(3-4/10)は北側に見え、SPCを囲んでいます。 
Simois(4-5/10)はMare CimmeriumとMare Chroniumの南境界と、Phaethontis(7/10)を両断して、
Electris(7/10)の間で広がるのにおいて目に見えました。 また、Eridania(7/10)は目に見えました。 
雌馬のCimmerium(3-4/10)は南方向に広がって、CMに沿っていました。 
明るさ(7/10)、円形のアルベド機能(Atalantes Depresio?)はMare Cimmeriumの南境界の上にHesperia(7-8/10)に
隣接していました。 「バルハラ」という拡散している(5/10)アルベド機能は、Mare Cimmeriumの北にあり、
平行になっているのに気が付きました。 子午線に沿って、雌馬のTyrrhenum(3-4/10)とSyrtis Minor(3/10)は目立っていました。 
領域は安定したシーイング瞬間に、「小斑点を付けられる」ように見えました。 
雌馬のHadriacum(3/10)はヘラス(9/10)の前の境界に沿っていました。 大シルチス(3-4/10)は「くさび」の形のようになっていした。 
Iapygia Viridis(3/10)はSyrtisメージャーの南の以下の方に向かっているように見えました。 わずかに詳細が見えていた状態で、
Aeolis、Aethiopis、およびAetheriaは明るかったです(7/10)。 ケルベロス(5/10)は非常に明瞭な(9/10)北のPolarフッド(NPH)の
南の薄いくさびのように見えました。 リビア(7-8/10)はもやによって部分的に不明瞭に見えました。 
Hyblaeus Extension、(3/4/10) 北極ベールによって明らかに部分的に不明瞭になっていました。
薄くて、非常に明るい(9/10)朝もや(MLH)が見えていました。 また、より際立った(9/10)夕霧(ELH)も見えました。

右の画像(2005/08/21 06:40(UT)、W38): 南極冠は良く輝いていました(10/10)。 ヘラスは、非常に明るく(9/10)、
その時、EridaniaとElectrisの向こう側に境界に先行して、非常に明るいMLH(地霧と水氷雲の可能な混合物?)に接しながら、
非常に明るい(7-8/10)映像が広がり、薄く、明るい何かを持っているように見えました。 非常に明るい(8-9/10)雲の輝きはエリシウムで
突出していました。 また、北極フッド(NPH)が良く見えていました。(9/10)。 雌馬のChronium、Mare Cimmerium、Mare Tyrrhenum、
小シルチス、大シルチスは青い(W38)フィルタでも良く見えていました。
