I was comparing today some 2005 and 2003 images and noticed some striking changes in the albedo markings around Deucalionis Regio near Sinus Meridiani.
Most striking is the change in brightness of Deucalionis Regio which was much brighter in 2003 than at present, and the area is now very dusky,
with Pandorae Fretum appearing much darker with a distinct southern boundary (it looks like a band in the eyepeice.) The most southern portions of
Hellespontus have also become much brighter.
I guess all these changes must be related to the dust storm that occured there in late 2003.
Best Wishes
