D.C.Parkerの画像
(reported by 10 observers)

NPH bright and conspicuous. As for the southern hemisphere, all aspects
seem to be covered with dust veil like yellow. The evening mist in the
low latitude provinces is clear. In the image of D.C.Parker,the
appearance widely covered with white clouds is recorded in the
hemisphere in the morning side. (reported by 10 observers)

comment:

Terrible seeing, but Chryse is clear of dust. Also lots of discrete clouds.
Congrats to Joel,Ed,Glenn, and Ralf for imaging the Chryse dust streak.
It was similar in extent and duration to the one of October 13. Also,it is like the one that Ed Grafton captures on 30 July,2003.
Best and Happy Thanksgiving

This are features Mare Cimmerium. Note also the tiny South Polar Cap which is still visible.

Difficult conditions last night with a lot of wind and mediocre seeing, but
high transparency.

The middle image is taken with an ATK camera, the outer two with a
mono-chipped Toucam. I am satisfied there is no noticeable difference
between the two,and I will use the Toucam in the future as it is easier to
handle.

For the last shot I tried the technique of creating a colour image with just
R,B and synthesised G,and adding an IR Luminance. An advantage of this is
that it puts the R and B shots closer together in time so there is less
tendency to the production of difficult-to-remove colour fringing in the
aligned composite. Colours are less well rendered of course than with LRGB
or LIGB.

Paolo R. Lazzarotti (250mm Newton : Lumenera LU075M)
After 2 weeks with very bad weather I had a clear night between 2 low pressures under very poor seeing.
I'm happy despite the bad result because the night before there were cold winds blowing at 150 km/h and the morning after was raining and snowing!
And the hell now still goes on...
