The observation condition of Japan has worsened very much. A good record
of one's observations has been sent from foreign countries. The image
of Damian Peach is paid to attention. A whiter, brighter part is caught
in white clouds in the North Pole part. There is a possibility of the
NPC still though it is not possible to declare. It is necessary to take
care about the change in the future like shape etc.The image of Donald C
Parker seems no NPC because of not seeing a bright part by a red image.

Here's an image of Mars which I took 2 hours ago. The cloud detail is about the same as yesterday but the cloud below Solis Lacus is now more prominent.

John Moore (180mm Maksutov Newtonian Toucam Pro)
Last night was my first opportunity on Mars for 6 weeks. The morning mist remains over Hellas.

Christophe Pellier (C14 ; Lumenera ATK-1HS)
Hi all, here are my first images of the year. Seeing was very good and many details can be seen in the small disk.

Damian Peach (350mm Celestron SCT:Lumenera LU075)
Here are some images from the 4th. Fair to good seeing. As Christophe already mentioned Hellas shows a misty bulge on the morning terminator, while there is also a misty cloud over Libya. There does seems some mistiness over the SPC also.

Donald C Parker(16-in (41cm) Newtonian)(250mm Dall-Kirkham)
Hi All,
I have attached some Mars images from 29 December and 4 January taken with Tim Khan's Lumenera 075M camera. Am finally getting around to processing my backlog.
It appears that the South Polar Hood began forming around Ls=348-350.
    Best and Happy New Year!
