解説（安達）
　夜明け前の低高度の中での初観測が行われた。実に、半年振りの観測となった。
模様は見えていない。　（reported by 1 observer）

First observation was performed in the sky of the low altitude in front 
of dawn. Very, it became the observation for the first time in half a
year. The pattern is not in sight.

Here is a first Mars image in the 2007 apparition - devoid of any 
details except for the color and phase (.984 illuminated fraction) -
 taken at 11 degrees altitude in poor seeing. Apparent diameter is 
3.97". 
I will try again on the Syrtis Major side next time if seeing 
improves (next likely until spring though). Mars 2007 should 
provide some memorable moments!
