Tiziano Olivetti
Christophe Pellier
(reported by 11 observers)
The South Pole looks bright by a red image. It seems that veil of dust has
covered. It seems that morning mist and evening mist come to be visible,
and atmospheric water vapor content is increasing. By the image of
Tiziano Olivetti, orographic clouds were recorded very finely. Near
Chronium (200W,-56) has remarkable signs that it is widely covered with
morning mist.
Attention is the North Polar Cap. By the image of Damian Peach, the figure
appropriate for it is in sight under hood. This situation was repeatedly
observed from Japan early in November. Since the white band rotates
without changing a form into encaustic 1 clue, it is appropriate to
consider the North Polar Cap. Since hood are surrounding the
surroundings of it in the shape of a ring, it is visible to a double
ring. And since the red image has also clarified, this is considered to
be certain. The same phenomenon is known also by the image of David
Arditti. The same tendency is seen also by the picture of Christophe
Pellier. The white band has checked signs that it was mostly visible
over all the circumferences.
The North Polar Cap was formed. (reported by 11 observers)

Seeing has been incredibly poor this late fall with us typically
being under the bright red and even white section of the jet stream
virtually every day. Thankfully Mars is getting large enough in
apparent diameter to image some detail despite the conditions.

Here is an extensive set of images from Nov 16th in good seeing. Elysium to Syrtis Major was captured. Lots of interesting details, especially the interesting weak clouds and features seen in Blue light (note the streaks surrounding the Hyblaeus extension in this filter.) The surface NPC boundary to me looks pretty clear in the Red images as the Hood seems weaker. Also Elysium Mons/Hecates Tholus are seen nicely as bright spots.
Another point is that when i compared the Red data compared to 2005 (processed the same) the albedo markings still notably lack contrast compared to then. I guess there is still a good amount of atmospheric dust reducing contrast from a "clear" Mars.

Taken, just for a change, with a C-11 rather than C-14. Good conditions. Particularly nice detail in the green. Bad edge artefact, left as is in the greyscale images, but smoothed out using Photoshop trickery slightly in the colour composites.
