I am sure everyone who saw it will agree it was a particularly beautiful lunar
eclipse: not only the colour of the Moon,but its excellent position high in the
sky and in interesting starfields,and the excellent conditions we had in England.
This shot is from 2007 March 04 00:31. 30 mins after after mid-eclipse. Canon
EOS 350D,90mm refractor f10,6 seconds at ISO 200.

I was able to view the total lunar eclipse tonight (03/04/07 at 00:00 U.T.) the Fort Lauderdale beach (South Florida) tonight and initially thought that we would miss the event entirely due to a heavy deck of clouds. Some blue openings were visible towards the eastern horizon,but unfortunately not where the Moon would be would be located. I had just about given up when a break appeared over the Moon's position and were was able to view the event through binoculars (11 x 56 mm) for less than a minute (03/04/07 at 00:00 U.T.) before being clouded out once again. The Moon appeared a coppery color with the northwestern limb a thin,bright arc. It was a beautiful sight,although a brief one. I hope that you enjoy the rendering that I made of this brief event.

Here are some impressions of the March 4,lunar eclipse.It seemed to be a
reasonable dark eclipse,considering the clear sky we had after a whole day
of rain and wind.
The view through the eyepiece of a 10 inch scope revealed a beautiful field
of stars around the eclipsed moon,a great sight.(10 inch Newtonian & Plossl 25mm)

The sky cleared at the end!
After a 3 days and 3 nights of perfectly clouded sky,something didn't work fine with the cloud shop boy.
Myseld and my friend Nicola (AP130 tube owner) could enjoy with a wonderful pancromatic eclipse,expecially a while before and after the totality when some bluish tint was seen at the opposite limb.
The light fall during the maximum phase was conspicuos,I had some problem with the exposure that couldn't be short enough to freeze the horrific seeing over that night.
Any way,I'm happy with the result. Colors reproduced here in this image are finely matching true colors perceived at naked eye.

I don't think my eyes and my Camera have been so busy in 6 hrs !

Celestron 9.25 (with 6.3 Focal Reducer),Nikon 4300 Digital Camera with
40mm DigiT-Max eyepiece.
Will do a proper report with times etc,etc later on but first image at
20:10 to 02:25am

I've got quite a few images of the total lunar eclipse but I'll only send out this one. This is a SKYnyx IR capture of the eclipsed Moon taken 10 minutes after mid eclipse. As the IR result was being captured,a colour image was take using a Canon 20Da DSLR camera. Both results were combined with the SKYnyx IR result (a 4-pane mosaic) being used as luminance and the 20Da as colour. The 20Da's IR response actually rendered quite a pink cast to the image (the totally eclipsed Moon was very bright in IR!) and this has been reduced slightly to give a more pleasing aesthetic colour. I'll be comparing the IR result with a pre-eclipse full Moon shot later to see what subtle differences,if any,can be picked up.
