Observation of the ISS on May 12 in morning light. The European
Columbus laboratory module stands out well in the image. There
will be added a companion ot the Columbus soon early June;
the Japanese Kibo Laboratory. This will be visible greatly.
Its size is huge.

This is the best result out of a sequence taken on 2008/05/12
during one of the morning passes of the International Space Station.
Some detail, including individual segments are visible within the
European Columbus lab. Also visible on the other image from a
slightly different angle
Best results of an ISS-imaging session on 2008/05/12)
in morning light)The European Columbus lab is pointed up
in these images at the left side.If all goes well, next week
the new Japanese Kibo Laboratory will be attached as a
companion of the Columbus. This will be delivered by the
Spaceshuttle Discovery sheduled to start very soon.

Additional processing from the session with particular nice lightening angle)
A little step back in History of the Space Station. We see at the Starboard side the Columbus Laboratory,
at the time of the image just 3 months in space. The big Kibo Lab was still on the ground.
The main reason of this reprocessing is my rapidly improving image processing
technique. The new result of the reprocessings is already much better then the those of 2008.
The other reason is the extraordinary lighting by sun of the station in this capture.
In all my ISS imaging session so far,I never had a lighting angle so nice as this particular one.
That the lighting must have been special betrays the almost totally invisibility of the
stations Radiators, generally one of the main brightly visible elements in an ISS image.
However, the lighting is especially well on the Truss-structure and this causes mainly the
special effect of this image.
this a detail image of the portside trusses P1/P3
(with clearly some of the structure in it)and P4(innerside with SARJ).
