Observation of the upper stage of a legendary Vostok 8A92M Rocket,
here launched on April 14, 1979,but this was the same Rocket series
as used in the first Russian manned flight in the 1960's.
The object appeared as Cosmos 1093 just after the ISS ended elevation
on May 23,but in a different orbit.Speed was high compared to the ISS,
indicating that it moves in a lower orbit.Max.mag.was 2.8.It entered
the Earths shadow fast at already 66°altitude.These factors made it
no easy job to catch it(manually using 10in Newtonian).
Added is a comparison showing the apparent diameter compared
to the ISS taken with the same setup and scale.
