月も木星も雲越しに見えていましたが、透明度が悪く拡大率を下げてもなかなか
撮影できなかった。シーイングは比較的良かった。撮影できたのは結局これ１枚だった。

Some lovely seeing again last night for a while until the cirrus moved in...
Looking back through the video from the session on 4th of August I found one that was probably slightly better than the earlier processed image. This is possibly my best Jupiter image,this time presented with North at the top (my preferred orientation). I'm a sucker for the detail in the NPR
The GRS is not visible,but it is very close to rising on the left limb as seen here.

poco propizio,ma la curiosita per il nuovo giocattolo era troppa!
Prime impressioni sicuramente positive,qualche problemino software da
risolvere.....

It was mostly cloudy this evening. But I was able to image Jupiter through patches of clouds. Seeing was not good and transparency was variable.
This is my first image since my trip to view the July 22 Total Solar Eclipse at Hangzhou,China. Sadly,this trip with Tomio Akutsu was a bit disappointing because we were clouded out during totality. It had also been cloudy during the past weeks.
The GRS is detached from the SEB. The SEB is fading but note the dark feature following the GRS.
The NEB is very dark. Note the dark spots on the NEB.
On the second image,there is a hint of the recent impact region discovered by my friend,Anthony Wesley!

GRSは小粒でしっかりと見えてますね。

高度が低い状態でしたが、なんとか衝突痕を見ることが出来ました。衝突痕は、望遠鏡
による眼視でも充分に確認でき、黒い色ですぐさま判りました。もう少し良シーイング
であれば、形や濃淡もはっきりする。

That one was a real surprise: when i shot it, i did not even looked at the screen, busy with preparing my mutual events observations which were only 15 minutes later, and because the previous IR and RGB captures did not look good on the screen. Nonetheless, at 25° high only, after processing the film i got my best IR Jupiter image in 2 years ...
