Subject: Jupiter the red-nosed planet

To test the apparent darkening of the GRS, about which there has been debate recently, here is a set 
of side-by-side alignments of images from the summer and from Nov-Dec. (I did not see the  alignment 
that Jim referred to.)  It seems to me that the interior of the GRS has indeed darkened, as Christophe 
says, especially in blue light.  The images are not perfectly matched for resolution and processing; 
if anything, the darkening may be underestimated in the last few pairs because the later image seems 
to be lighter generally. Individual observers might be able to do better with their own data.

木星は赤鼻の惑星

最近議論されている、大赤斑の明らかな濃化を調べるために、夏と11-12月との画像を横並びにしたセットを作成し
た(私はJimが参照している比較画像を見ていない)。Christopheが述べるように、特に青色光で、大赤斑内部が確か
に濃化しているように思われる。画像は分解能や処理が完全に一致していなくて、どちらかというと、最近の画像
は一般的に明るいように思われるので、最後の何組では濃化は低く見られるかもしれない。観測者個人が自分のデ
ータを使ってもっと良くすることができるだろう。
