I was able to capture my first Galilean Moon occultation,when Ganymede passed in front of Io,covering about 40% of the volanic moon. The seeing was reasonably stable,maybe 6.5/10 and the morning started off beautiful and clear. Some cloud bands came through right at the wrong time, ruining some of the sequences right in the middle of the occultation. Of course it cleared completely after the event was all over. Despite the annoying clouds almost ruining my chances of capturing anything of the occultation,I was able to image enough of the event to put together this 32-frame animation,covering 33 minutes of elapsed time. Anthony Wesley(Australia) さんの Europa occults Ganymede:2009/05/08(UT) の 観測に刺激され、2009/05/25（UT)に Ganymede occults Io の観測をしてみました。 透明度が悪く、しかも現象の途中に薄雲が通過するなど条件は良くなかったので すが、 今後の練習をかねてトライしました。 DMK21AF04を使い 2009/05/25 18:55:30〜19:11:02(UT)の間、約２〜３秒間隔で 30秒露光を27回行い、registax 5で処理し（元画像を300%resizedしてあります） フリーソフトVisual G++を使いGIFアニメ化しました。 気象条件が悪く、撮影中のかなりの時間、shutterやgainを変えねばならず、30 秒露光 で得られたframe数は最大で898frames、最小109framesでした。 シーイングが良ければ拡大率をあげ、30cm鏡で十分にGanymedeの表面模様が捉えられ そうです。 現象の途中に薄雲が通過しなければ、獲得した多くのaviを連続したaviにして、 光度変 化を調べることもできそうです。 少し楽しみが増えました。
