conditions good again (very damp though) just before dawn.
GRS just visible, coming into view at the 2 o'clock position on the disk.

[Simon Kidd: Welwyn Herts,United Kingdom]

Jim Phillips(200mm Fluorite)
Out early again. This time for some reason the bugs let their presence be known.
Saw a total of 3 Perseids. Of course I was looking more at the monitor than up. Good seeing overall.

I combined the R+G
to synthesise a luminance channel, then combined LRGB. It brings out the
detail better I think. There are so many ways of processing!

[Peter Edwars: West Sussex United Kingdom]

Paul G. Abel(203mm newton)
Here are two drawings I made on the morning of the 11th August 2010. Seeing was rather excellent- around AI-II,sometimes for up to a minute of complete calm at a time. A most interesting observation- there appeared to be a dark 'hoop' like structure extending southwards from the NEBs into the EZ. It passed the CM at 0114UT giving a L2= 344.6 The festoons in the EZ appeared distinctly bluish tonight.
A dark section was present in the STB which on closer examination turned out to be made of a series of fine points. A similar structure was present in the NTB. Two white ovals could be made out in the STZ and one in the NNTZ(?)
A bright Perseid also made an appearance!

It seems like the Grs is bridging with the Oval Ba.

Mediocre seeing, with the transit of what Dave Tyler called the "railway arch" feature in the SEB.
