Seeing was good but transparency was poor.
The SEB is still very quiet. Io is transiting the SEB. Io is well resolved. The NEB is still dark with white and dark spots.

during a period of good seeing.
Attached is an image illustrating the changes in the NEB over a couple of
days. The bright snake like disturbance near the centre of the NEB has faded
considerably in the image from 3rd September. Also the dark barge spots to
the right of Oval BA have changed significantly. Jupiter is ever changing
which is what makes it such an interesting planetary target.

Some good seeing this night despite the altitude (33o.) A very nice Transit of Ganymede occured. Note the NEBn oval merger still seems to be going on with a bright extension on its f.side.
