Mostly poor seeing last night, still in the grip of the never-ending jetstream...
The GRS looks interesting,in the red channel it appears very large and indistinct. All of its shape that you see in the colour image here is coming from the green and blue channels.

Under good seeing.
The images partially cover Ganymede transit, showing again some albedo
details. Also,a row of white little ovals is clearly visible on the SEBs.
Low clouds rolled-in and this
is the only image of that day. I have included the separate R,G,B

I spent a good three hours with Jupiter last night! I made a number of drawings,
these two are the best. I think the log book page may be slightly creased since
the belts are not quite parallel! Seeing was around AII for much of the night,
and as a result there was plenty of fine detail. Some wonderful structure in
the NEB,the most interesting must be the peculiar zig-zag feature (shown on
fol. side in drawing 1) in the NEB. Oval BA was distinctly light orange in
colour although a brighter white coloured core also seemed present. I estimate
BA Oval to be at L2: 151.2.
The GRS also showed structure, especially at 250x and looked like it had a dark
orange circumference containing a lighter interior. There was a suggestion of a
dark core present at higher powers. I estimated the proc. edge of the GRS to be
at L2: 149.4,the centre to be at L2: 157.2 and the fol. edge to be at L2:
165.7,giving a length of 16.3 degrees and hence a width of 19348.1km,slightly
higher than I was expecting, the problem no doubt being due to the fact that the
proc. edge seems to be less well defined than the fol. side (to me).
