Here's a shot of Jupiter with the GRS,Io and it's shadow in transit and Callisto just south of the planet's disk, taken on the night of 1/2 October under good seeing but variable transparency...

I'm back from my trip to Rome to attend the EPSC. The trip was great and I was very happy to meet Marc Delcroix in person!
It was mostly cloudy today. There were thunder storms in the north and south with a small clearing around Jupiter. I only had a 30min window before the sky was overcast. Transparency was terrible.
The GRS and Oval BA are very prominent. Note the dark halo around BA. The SEB is still zonal.
The NEB is very dark and broad.

I enclose a recovery run last night after returning from an evening public. The
interesting seeing me decide to replace all the equipment in spite of
Jupiter had just passed the meridian.
This resulted in something good, even if it is an image of the highest
level.

only to confirm the details recorded.

A night of poor seeing conditions, for a few minutes it improves to fair just, enough to make a RGB sequence.
