Paul G. Abel(203mm reflector)
Here's my latest observation of Jupiter which consists of three disk drawings,
transit times and intensity estimates- although I've only included the
drawings. We had some excellent seeing conditions here last night, and some
fine details were present on the Jovian disk, these include:

(i) The GRS which appeared to have a slightly darker core and was an intense
orange red- it's proc. edge seemed to be particularly well defined. I estimate
a CM2: 160 degrees.

(ii). Oval BA- a definite dark circumference was noted. The orange colour was
evident when it was near the CM.
(iii). SSTB and STB seemed to be somewhat fragmented and noth belts were not
complete in places. Some prominent dark sections in both of these belts. A
number of white ovals and wide greyish gaps also present.
(iv). The SEB was a little more prominent tonight- the SEB(N) being more so.
A greyish tone was apparent in the belt near the RSH.
(v). Some prominent festoons in the EZ- these were a light bluish grey colour.
(vi). A good number of rifts present in the NEB.
(vii). A number of dark barges and dark sections present in the NTB and NNTB.
