It was gorgeous at the Farm over the weekend. Clear sky AND good seeing as well. This image of Jupiter with one of its moons,Callisto,on a close approach was taken early Sunday morning with a TMB 10" F/9 @ F/45 using a skynyx color camera.

Alas seeing was
only average but I was able to pull out a few fine details. There are a number
of rifts and white ovals present in the NEB, and the STB has a fragmenatary
appearance. A number of dark sections are also present in the NTB. Io is very
close to the proc. limb and vanished from sight behind Jupiter at 2015UT (at
250x)- although seeing was rather poor by 2014UT, and so this may not be
accurate.

Here is an image of Jupiter from 10th October with Io and it's shadow in
transit. The seeing was unsteady but Registax seems to have dealt with it quite well.
