I have attached UV ad NIR Jupiter images from 10 November.
The SEB revival is bright in both wavelengths It appears larger in UV,but this may be due to seeing effects.

I have attached an RGB Jupiter image from 10 November showing the SEB revival as a bright spot in the SEBs.

I had to image early this evening to catch the outbreak spot in the SEB. Seeing wasn't great although transparency was much better than yesterday.
The SEB outbreak spot is prominent. It is bright both in Methane Band the UV!! This spot should grow bigger in the coming days.
The NEB is still complex.

SEB Revival

I found a problem with the annotation on my photo of Jupiter 2010/11/10.
On the first photo, the satellite Europa is the bright spot situated to the right.

Intermittent clouds, the seeing was not very good.
But sometimes had subsided, allowing me to capture well the new details
that emerge in the SEB with the infrared filter of 807 nm

A clear night (of sorts) finally arrived in Leicester last night, and I was able
to make an observation of Jupiter. I was particularly keen to observe the new
SEB Revival spot, but due to the seeing conditions I met with mixed success.

Seeing conditions were in average quite poor, but there were some steadier
moments, and it was during such moments I caught fleeting glimpses of Europa
(which was in transit) and a bright region in the SEB close by (on the fol.
side) which I took to be Chris Go's SEB bright spot. After the disk drawing
seeing dropped off considerably and at times,I struggled to see even the NEB.
I returned to the telescope at 2306UT,where Seeing was reasonable, but of
course the spot had long size been carried around to Jupiter's dark side and I
was unable to obtain another look. Shortly afterwards, clouds pressed in from
the west and I closed down for the night.

I did manage to make a disk drawing which is attached. I should say that Europa
and the Spot appear here as they did in the moments of average (or better
seeing). I do feel that had the conditions been better for longer the spot
would be quite unmistakable, indeed I would wager it was probably a fraction
brighter than Europa.

What a pity the revival is happening now towards the end of the apparition,
although as Damian pointed out to me last night,we must be thankful it didn't
occur during solar conjunction!

In the 20:35 UT image,
Io and it's shadow are in transit and Ganymede is just emerging from Jupiter's shadow lower right.
The new bright SEB spot is just visible to the right of Io.

In the 21:00 UT image,Io has now cleared transit but it's shadow is still
on the face of Jupiter. Ganymede with some surface detail is now clear of
the shadow lower right.

Looking forward to the re-emergence of the SEB.

David Arditti (356mm SC)
Very disappointing seeing again, but the famous SEB revival spot (if such it
proves to be) is visible just past the CM,with Europa in transit just ahead
(right) of it. These were apparent visually in binoviewers, but my eye was also
drawn to the smudge along a line of longitude to the S,coincidentally in line
with Europa.
