Opposition Night!
Mars very bright in the sky and close to the full Moon- the two make a lovely pairing.
Although the sky is very transparent, seeing is only average at best. Acidalium is of course dominating the north proc. edge of the disk. The Lowell band is very dark and there appears to be some fine features in the NPC.
Chryse is very bright and there are some wonderful details in Mare Erythraeum. Solis Lacus is well on view, quite dark tonight. A bright cloud over Olympus Mons is strongly suspected.
At 0233UT I attempted another drawing, however thick low cloud came piling into the sky,and the seeing dropped right off. There seemed to be little point in continuing, closed down 0237UT.

Jean Jacques Poupeau (350mm Cassegrain)
The transparency was very good and the seeing was fair.
T = -1,5°C
A dust front is observed transiting over the NPC (as alerted by the CMO).
Note also how important are the morning mist over Tharsis, and the developing equatorial cloud belt over Chryse.

Martin R Lewis(222mm Newton)
Last one from the recent period of reasonable seeing. Hints can still be seen of the dust incursion into the NPC.
Seeing not nearly so good tonight.

Damian Peach (350mm Celestron SCT)
The dust streaks off the NPC seems to have largely dissipated though there is some faint coloured patches that remain visible.

コメント:シーイングは良好でした。
画像処理方法を少し緩めにしたら、色合いがかなり
良くなりました。解像度という点ではやや落ちますが、
過去のデータでも効果があったので、しばらく、この
方法で試してみます。

Christophe Pellier (250mm Cassegrain)
Here are two sets of images from last week - good seeing.

(IR,B,Violet,UV)

As Damian commented already, the equatorial cloud belt is maybe forming over Chryse. Chryse is the first part of the ECB that is supposed to appear, around Ls 45-50°,and so the observations are coherent.
