Here is a recent image of the station I took with a great lighting angle for the Integrated truss structure,
the backbone of the ISS is in its full length visible with lots of detail. Normally the 4 big solar panels
are about the most obvious elements visible from Earth, but in this image they are almost invisible
due to the special sunlight angle and position. In the image we see also nice detail on the Kibo and
Columbus laboratories, visible in the foreground.
2010/01/14_ISS and Soyuz TMA-16 observation
Observation of the Russian part of the Space Station on Jan 14, 2010.
A close-up of the Soyuz TMA-16 before it was relocated to the new
Russian POISK module on the Zenit side, invisible from Earth.
On this image, we actually see mainly the solar panels of the Soyuz,
lighted by sun.
