In fact I had to wait over 3 years to finally get a result like this,
as all my earlier opportunities to capture a favorable shuttle pass were destroyed by clouds or bad lighting.
That it succeeded yet before the shuttle retirement is a relief for my archieve! In fact you can see a sign of
the MPLM in the Payload Bay, at least the forward edge of it. While I was tracking the telescope with one eye,
I watched with the other eye along the tube, to enjoy the beautiful tandem, the shuttle was making part out of! 10 inch Newtonian, manually tracked.
Some additional views, little more contrast. Marked is the Payload,
the Multi Purpose Logistics Module Leonardo. This is the last time
we will see the module be carried back to Earth. the next time, it
will get permanently attached to the ISS.
