Here is an image of Mercury recorded on Saturday afternoon at IR 742nm.
I imaged at 807nm as well, but, maybe due to the longer exposure necessary, the results were less sharp.
There is a prominent bright spot S of the equator towards the limb. I have
measured this position using WinJUPOS,and it corresponds to long 33,lat -12.
This agrees well enough with the position of the brilliant ray crater Kuiper
(long 31.5 lat -11.5),the brightest spot on Mercury.
