Ian Sharp (280mm SC)
very nice seeing here. Watched Io pass on to the disk, then over the GRS.

More crystal clear conditions here in the UK,but seeing was not quite as good as the previous night. Still, this would normally be great seeing for the UK,so mustn't grumble!

seeing very good at times, image definition steady, but a great deal of dew! We also had the transit of Io & Shadow across the disk, and Io itself passed over the GRS. At times the image of the planet was rock steady in the eyepiece! Bright sections seen in the SEB,and now it seems some interesting details near the NPR are making themselves evident.

Seeing was only fair, good for short moments. Transparency poor.

高層気流情報では、良好な気流状態なので期待しましたが、
下層状態が悪いのか、シーイングはあまり良くありませんでした。

This night saw a rare event as Io passed directly over the GRS preceded by its shadow. Luckily we had clear skies and good seeing to watch this event (surely a miracle good conditions coinciding with an unusual event like this!)

With the help of Winjupos and allot of time and patience ive managed to make a decent animation of the transit of Io i captured back on September 28th. Io and its shadow are the actual Io and shadow from the sequence of colour images i captured (not simply the Jupos simulations.) This took some time to do, but the final result was worth it i think.
