After several days of stop due to fog,an evening at last near normal,
although characterized by a high humidity.

Only ten minutes after the image sent earlier: the weather conditions have
allowed a significant improvement in the perception of fine details. To
monitor the two movies are absolutely equivalent.

The sky was nice and steady Sunday evening, after an unusually early
snowstorm left a blanket of snow on Saturday. It was unusually damp and
cold for this time of year, though. The temperature was around 28 °F (-2
°C). So here is Jupiter a day past opposition showing the GRS beginning to
transit. Click to enlarge the image to full size.

The seeing was poor and the altitude was only 18 degrees. However, the
situation was interesting due to the double transit of Io and Ganymede.

A brief window of clearish sky though poor transparency and very windy again. None the less after a week and half of solid cloudiness i cant complain. The temperature was a "balmy" 60F....a far cry from the conditions some of you guys have mentioned in the eastern US!
