I just had an emergency appendectomy on Dec 7. I'm back now,but my tummy still hurts a bit. I would like to thank my surgeon Dr Henry Chua for the wonderful job! I was able to take some Jupiter images before the total Lunar Eclipse. Condition during imaging Jupiter was less than perfect. Seeing was good but transparency was poor and variable.
Oval BA can be seen in this image. The red ring is very prominent! The dark halo is disappearing. Note the white spot following BA. The dark shadow in the right is Europa's shadow.
The SEB is still very complex. The NEB is very narrow.
An hour after taking these images,a Total Lunar eclipse started. I used my old C8 and my Nikon D5000 to take this image.
