Attached is a an observation of drawing I made of Jupiter on the 1st Feb. We had some excellent seeing here, and we had the GRS region,Ganymede transiting the disk and the shadow of Europa near the GRS. The region fol. the GRS was fascinating- lots of bright rifts and dark sections in both the SEBn and the SEBz- I decided to make a strip drawing of the region to capture the delicate features.
Quite a good night- managed to get some intensity estimates as well. Alas cloud returned by 200UT and I was forced to stop observations.

Despite the brisk and bitterly cold easterly wind the seeing was very good (quite unexpected as easterlies are usually always poor.)
To my good fortune Ganymede and Europa's shadow were in transit.
Due to using winjupos over a 12min capture period i had to process the moons and shadow separately
(as winjupos doesn't properly compensate the satellite motions when using derotation.)

The most remarkable thing to me is how pale the GRS is these days. Very pale compared to last apparition.
