Atmospheric conditions were much better than yesterday but the fog came at 03:30!

Well, after months of rain and continual cloud cover,we got a brief 25 min window at 0300UT this morning and I was able to make a drawing of Jupiter.
Seeing was only ever average at best, but how nice to be back out again!
The main thing of interest was the NEB and NTB.
The NEb seemed to be composed of a series of fine darker sections.
The NTB is quite broad now and seems to be of the same orange colour as the NEB.
The NTropZ seemed thin with greyish extensions from NEB?
It looked like there might have been a veil connecting the two belts at one point but I'm not sure of this.

The NTZ seemed to be quite wide, and of a white colour.
Some darker sections present in the NPR.
EZ also rather active; a yellowish EB seemed to be present and a number of dark bluish festoons could be made out.

SEB also active, the SEBz was a dark orange colour and seemed to contain some darker sections.

Certainly it looks like this will be another interesting apparition!

Seeing was okay this morning but it was partially cloudy. Seeing was a little unstable.

The NEB is very complex. The NEBs is starting to turn red but the mid-NEB is still yellow.
The NTB is prominent while the northern part of the NTB is a bit complex.
Note the bright spot at the dark spot on the NNTZ which is bright in CH4.

This red filter image of Jupiter on July 21 shows quite some detail despite the poor seeing.
