Uranus images taken from CALERN Observatory, with my C14 telescope, PLA-Mx CCD (ICX618 chip based) and IR 685 nm filter. The images show clearly bands on the Uranus globe, more clearly than with the RG610 filter previously used. To avoid misinterpretation of images, a rotation of the CCD by 90° has been done between the two sets of acquisition. The details clearly rotate with the camera thus reinforcing their credibility.
A summary of 19th and 25th acquisitions is summarized on the last picture : all the details are consistent among the different acquisitions. The IR685 filter seems to be the best suited to this kind of work, being the best compromise between high contrast in the band and exposure duration short enough.
