Happy New Year!! After over 5 days of suffering a flu,I am getting better now! Seeing was good this evening.
That is before the clouds rolled in.
The GRS is setting. Note the complex wake following the GRS. There are two prominent outbreak within this wake.
The large dark EZ festoon seem to be interacting with the dark barge in the NEB. These features are dark in CH4.
The NNTZ LRS is also prominent and very bright in CH4.

シーイングが良くなく、とりあえず今年の初画像、といったところです。

2013年の初観測です。
前夜の続きでGRS後方の観測を期待したのですが、悪天候で早々と断念しました。
一昨年から関西のシーイングは悪化しています。
これも地球温暖化の影響でしょうか？ 少しずつ亜熱帯化しているように思います。
悪天候対策として、この頃の観測は大気差補正プリズムの使用とLRGB処理をほとんど休止しています。
悪シーイングのもとでは、DBKによるRGB画像の方が大まかな模様を捉えてくれているように思います。
ひたすらWINJuposのDe-rotation of images機能に頼っています。
年齢が進むとともに体力にも自信がなくなってきました。
そんな中、今年も楽しく、継続的な観測をできればと願っています。

Hello,here is a delayed image. The spot among the white clouds of STBs at L2 32,B" 32 has a pale orange colour.
It lost its dark purple colour at the end of September and gradually during October and early November los
t its dark apperance.On NEBn WS/A-B and WSZ are nicely centered on the image and they are Methane-bright.

Conditions were rather mediocre throughout this session never getting beyond fair at best briefly near the meridian.
None the less i snatched a couple of reasonable results nicely showing the new South Equatorial Disturbance having passed the GRS.
