here comes my jupiter image from February 10th. In a second post I will send an additional image
as announced here is part two of my observations from February 10th:
I could observe a rare opportunity today, as - still in daylight - Jupiters moon Europa had an ending of an occultation and slipped into Jupiters shadow only about ten minutes later.
All of this happend of course near Jupiters limb, and addidtionally moon Kallisto was near Jupiters north pole in the field of view, too.
Unfortunately the seeing wasn't as good as expected, but good enough to take a series with an IR-pass-filter.
During processing I detected a systematic aberration in the image as Europa had a small "tail" in all images,
caused by a slight misalignment in my optics.
The big image shows Jupiter an Kallisto in the Moment, when Europa started to emerge from the occultation.
The RGB was taken shortly before. The series shows the ending occultation,
the few minutes in which Europa shone in its normal brightness and the starting eclipse.
Even the phase of the moon is detectable during the partial phase of entrance into the shadow.
