I had a late start with Jupiter this season. This was because of the active monsoon season here in Cebu.
Seeing was excellent today! These are my first images of Jupiter with the ASI20MM.
The sensitivity of the camera is astounding.
It blows away the ICX618 chip and I was surprised with the good results in the Methane band.
I can now really say that the ICX618 is dead.
LONG LIVE CMOS!! There might be some artifacts in my images due to dust in my camera.
The GRS is prominent in these images.
The GRS is well resolved with details inside the GRS!
The wake of the GRS is very complex while there is a bright area preceding the GRS.
THE NEB looks narrow! Note the dark red spot on the NEBn.
This spot is bright in Methane band.
The NNTZ LRS can be seen up north and there is a small red spot just south west of the NNTZ LRS!
This small red spot is bright in Methane band.
