We had something approximating actual good seeing here this morning,
first time in months. Here's an IR image of Jupiter from just after 4am
local time.
Some fascinating chevron-like wave patterns across the equatorial zone
and a horizontal series of dark spots in the south that shift in latitude.

Here is an image from December 12th. Poor seeing and poor transparency - just a brief hazy gap amongst the clouds.
The GRS is well placed.
