It was mostly cloudy today. I had a short break on Jupiter. Seeing was excellent.
Unfortunately,the sky became overcast and I was unable to capture with Methane Band and UV.
This is my first decent capture of the Great Red Spot (GRS).
The region around the GRS is very busy and complex. The halo of the GRS has a yellowish color.
Note that the STrZ has a yellowish/orange tinge.
The GRS is resolved. Note the dark center and hint of the vortex arms.
Reddish material seem to spilling over from the GRS to both sides of the STrZ.
The NEB looks dark and narrow.

Imaged Jupiter last night to trial some software.
The conditions were predicted to be poor but this IR data came up better than expected.

After almost two months since my last image of Jupiter,
I've managed to capture an LRGB and an IR images in bad seeing and transparency.
The seeing went from bad to worse in a matter of minutes,also the transparency.
I managed to use only one L avi for the LRGB image from my usual LRGBL sequence,
hence the red limb. To top these,I had tons of dust on the sensor.
Anyway,any image is better than no image so I was happy just to be able to image again.

Another brief interlude between storms (another battering us as i write!)
The NNTZ LRS and spot Z are both nicely seen. Also a nice array of SSTC white ovals.
