February 3rd 2014 was a night with contradictions : early evening, February 2nd, awful seeing conditions prevailed when I tried to imagine Jupiter. Early morning, February 3rd seeing was, very rare for Belgium, exceptionally good. Herewith my best result at 3h48 UT with 9”0-Mars on CM 352°. Imaging done with my Celestron 14”, 2.5x powermate projection, use of dispersion corrector, RGB Baader filter set and webmcam DMK21AU618. Hope to have again those conditions when Mars grows to 15” !Herewith an infrared Mars result, dated February 3r 2014 at 3h45 UT. CM :352°. Mars 9”0. Imaging done with Celestron 14”, 2.5x powermate projection, use of dispersion corrector, IR Baader filter, webcam DMK 21AU618. Mars culminates at 30° from Belgium.
