I enclose a picture of MARS,resumed 2014/04/0 at 22h16m UT.
Transparency 5/10 seeing 6/10.
Newton Marcon 400mm to Eq. 16000mm,with eyepiece projection,of PLA Mx mono,Baader IR filter 685nm.

The last observation of Mars of last 6th with the cassegrain 254mm.
Bad to average images but here the report with brightening quotation versus
color.
Elysium area at the limb appeared ocre color making thinking some dust veil.
The ocre area was debording the patch surface for going and covering the
surface until Xanthe border.
When inserting the blue filter RG435 the patch appears bright but at less
level than in IL. It was bright in yellow light.
Arabia at limb looks bright also in IL,but clear in yellow,bright at a
less level with the RG435.
These data make thinking the clouds are mist,mixture of dust and white
clouds.
Chryse-Xanthe had the same color than the disk back ground,orange color.
They donot exhibit some brightness at the time.
A new time the contrast level of the features were very clear under the
blue filter use,the RG435.
The sketches has to be inverted W to E.

here is an image under average conditions showing ECB,Arabia Terra,Lunae planum,Tharsis clouds.Clouds around the 3 volcanoes and Olympus with the peaks over the clouds.Some clouds also in Alba Patera,Syria planum.Some Southern hazes are also visible.NPC with Chasma Boreale and ice remanents.
