Seeing was good this evening.
I was able to capture the giant volcanoes of Mars. Olympus Mons, the Solar Systems' highest mountain,is nicely resolved in the IR image. In the color images, clouds are on top of this volcano. There are also clouds on top of Arsai and Pavonis Mons. There are also light morning clouds over Elysium.

This is Mars shot through high-altitude clouds which rolled-in right when I've started capturing the videos.
Better luck next time.

Please find attached a drawing of Mars I made on 21st April.
The observation was made in Ormskirk UK under fairly dark skies.
I used a friend's 12" Skywatcher Dobsonian which gave some excellent views of the Red Planet.
the seeing was good although there was some low passing cloud. The features on the disk include:
*Hellas basin:For the first time this this did not appear to be a uniform oval, the proc side of Hellas
appeared to have a darker section intruding into it.
The basin was bright,no doubt filled with cloud.
*Syrtis Major was nicely presented, the extreme north of the featured contained a slight bluish cloud.
*ECB suspected.
*Boreosyrtis present in the north.
*Bright region (probably Elysium) on the proc. limb
*NPC small.

Damian Peach (356mm Celestron SCT)
Here are some images from April 21st. Excellent conditions. The Syrtis blue cloud is very distinct. Lots of clouds/haze over Chryse and toward the NPC.
